Opening for Music Director                         – St. John’s Episcopal Church, Kingsville

ST. JOHN’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH 11901 Belair Road, Kingsville, MD 21087. 410-592-8570. A small but growing parish with an average Sunday attendance of 50 is seeking a choir/organist director for our small choir. They would play for one service, lead one choir rehearsal, as well as lead a 50 minute warm up and practice each Sunday the choir sings.  They would also play for additional holy days, such as Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, the Easter Vigil, the community Christmas tree lighting and two Christmas Eve services. Salary is $7,800 per year.  St. John’s has a M.P. Moller Organ with: two manuals, 16 registers, 11 ranks, a manual compass with 61 notes and the pedal compass with 32 notes.  It was installed in 1926. Four weeks paid vacation per year to be taken in off season if possible and arranged ahead of time with the Parish Priest.  The choir/organist director would also work with the priest in selecting hymns.  We would encourage them to be a part of our community here and to share in the ministry of proclaiming the gospel.
